A solid, well-designed car top carrier that has room for all your gear, especially if you have a big family and want to take lots of stuff on your road trip.
This hard-shell carrier is great for hauling gear for up to 4 to 5 people. It fits skis, snowboards, tents, wake boards, wetsuits or sleeping bags. All the things that take up too much room inside the car.
We recommend 2 people to install this unit. Although 1 person could do it, you are much less likely to scratch your vehicle with an extra set of hands.
This carrier has 21 cubic feet capacity but is also available in smaller sizes. It includes Yakima’s Integrated SKS Lock System.

- The keys provided can break. Take good care and be gentle with the
keys because getting a broken key out not an easy task and a new lockset with keys is about $50. - The locking mechanisms can stick. Keep them clean and free of grease to make them easier to use.
- The clamping system for the crossbars is complicated. Once you figure it out and get the clamps set, it is much easier to clamp down again.
